Gli eventi del fine settimana del Firenze Jazz Fringe Festival

FIRENZE. Un fine settimana ricco di concerti e performance al FJFF dalle h. 18.00 seguiamo le marching band che partono da piazza Santo Spirito, ci troviamo alle 21.00 sull’Arno all’altezza di Ponte alle Grazie per gli assoli sulla zattera di Achille Succi (16/9) e Giovanni Falzone (17/9) e alle Night Towers alla spiaggetta dalle 22.15 con il Giovanni Falzone Border trio fra jazz e punk (16/9) e I Feel Good Production con le loro atmosfere funk, swing, jazz, e soul, alfieri del vintage-remix, mescolano techno, house, break con suoni vintage dell’epoca (17/9). I concerti in sala Vanni alle 18.00 e alle 21.30 e i locali del fringe ospitano formazioni d’eccezione.

Uno dei progetti musicali più freschi e creativi della nuova scena italiana di Jazz. 
From the soundtracks of science fiction films to Caribbean sounds, from blues to western references. Francesco Ponticelli’s project fully draws from a wide palette of colors in order to trace new landscapes, echoes of past experiences. One of the coolest and most creative music projects of the contemporary Jazz Italian scene.

Un omaggio alla cultura Africana. Sette artisti ci portano in un percorso attraverso la cultura e i ritmi Mandeng e Manlikè dal Burkina Faso al Senegal. Coinvolgendo il pubblico attraverso il potere trascinante del suono, dei ritmi frenetici, dei canti e delle danze tradizionali. 
A tribute to African culture. Seven artists lead us through a journey across the culture and rhythms of the Mandeng and Manlikè from Burkina Faso to Senegal. The irresistible power of sound, the frenzied rhythms, and the traditional songs and dances are bound to engage and move the public.

The term Ju Ju evokes the magic spirituality of rituals and pagan practices originating in West Africa, which finds expression in the fascinating music of this original ensemble, where ancestral language blends into the language of avant-garde jazz.

An all-round street band, which encompasses New Orleans, jazz influences, blues, ethnic sounds, hip hop, funk, and all the shapes and forms of folk song.
